For  Kitchener Centre

Re-Elect

Hi, my name is Aislinn.

I was elected your Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Kitchener Centre in 2023. I’m also a former city councillor, school social worker and a mom to two young kids.

I have spent my time as MPP listening to community members and partners about our strengths and the challenges we’re facing: like the high cost of living and housing, access to good publicly funded healthcare and education, climate change, transit – issues that impact all of us.

Since becoming your MPP in 2023, I have…

Put forward legislation such as the Keeping People Housed Act to hold bad-acting landlords accountable for renovictions, bring back real rent and vacancy control and investigate the overuse of above-guideline rent increases

Put forward 31 amendments, and demanded accountability from the Ford government on healthcare, oil and gas greed, and rental protections

Pushed back against the privatisation and underfunding of healthcare and education, by advocating for solutions to issues such as the family doctor shortage, ER pressures due to the lack of funding for addiction and mental health diversion programs, and calling for more funding for Ontario’s school nutrition programs

Hosted an education town hall to hear directly from local educators and parents about mental health and behavioural challenges in schools

Met with Metrolinx and the Minister of Transportation, and held a joint press conference with MP Mike Morrice to advocate for all-day, two-way GO services between Toronto and Kitchener.

Served over 2,500 constituents in Kitchener Centre, and held constituency town halls on issues such as Bill 166; Strengthening Accountability and Student Supports Act, and renovictions

I’m excited to continue working with our community to push for new solutions to big challenges – because I know we’re stronger together.

Sincerly,

Aislinn Clancy, for Kitchener Centre
