“As a voter I would always want to vote green because the Green party has always been about people who actually listen to everyone's opinions, people who want to work together with others regardless of party, and people who think outside the box to find the solutions society needs.
However, I also feel that every vote is a strategic vote. You need to look at the conditions of your riding, the context of the election, and the actual possible outcomes. Sometimes, as I've lived in different ridings around the country, it hasn't always made sense for me to vote for the Green candidate at that time.
But this election is a perfect storm of reasons to vote Green.
Kitchener Centre is literally in the centre of a new Green surge with a fantastic federal MP, the provincial Green Party leader just next door in Guelph, and growing support all over this region, known for its innovation.
It would be historic for democracy in Canada to have Ontario be a leading innovator by putting new voices in the halls of power for a change.
Even more importantly, we have a fantastic candidate putting herself forward. Aislinn Clancy, has the history of community impact, through teaching, social work, and at City Hall. I know she will listen to all the voices in our community and I feel she'll be a clear and loud voice on our behalf in Queens Park.”
