“"Running to represent my local community," is a pledge we hear during every election, but how often do we see it realized? It’s time for that to change. As a lifelong Liberal and former President of the Waterloo Liberal Riding Association, I've seen community representation can get lost in the shadow of partisan politics. Today, more than ever, we need to elect representatives who are not bound by party lines, who can represent their community.

Which is why I am excited to endorse Aislinn Clancy of the Green Party of Ontario for the upcoming by-election in Kitchener.

True representation means putting community before party, and that's what Aislinn stands for. We've already seen the remarkable impact an independent voice can have with Mike Morrice in Ottawa. His ability to work collaboratively across party lines has not only benefited Kitchener but also set an example for what politicians should be.
